Dupont Saison

Dupont Saison

£3.75

In 1920, Louis Dupont, an agronomist, was considering purchasing a farm in Canada. To dissuade him, his father Alfred Dupont bought the farm-brewery-Rimaux Deridder dating from 1759. This brewery was famous for its beer production and speciality honey beer.

The Saison Dupont is a coppery blonde beer, with aromas of fine hops, with marked bitterness, dry and very refreshing as it was originally.  Coppery blond, the finest aromas and a strong bitterness transform this beer into a thirst-quencher with no equal, just the way it was created. Our selection of yeasts is the perfect base for these typical aromas and ditto taste.  A real refermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result into this complex and particular aromatic beer.

ABOUT THIS BREWERY

Dupont Brewery is, of course, famous for Saison Dupont, widely accepted as the benchmark for all saisons and usually admitted to be the best. They also produce a blonde, and brun and a dry hopped version of the saison, as well as many other beers. They all have remarkable depth of flavour and common yeast tang that comes from the special strain the brewery uses and the very high temperatures it can ferment at – sometimes as high as 32 degrees centigrade.
